Welcome! This is the blog of eighteen 78 studios, a very small business owned and operated by Ashley Noelle Edwards (me). This blog is a photo-diary, a place for my short stories to land...it is (and will be) filled with inspiration, love, and sometimes hilarity. It is a place for my fancy cat photos, literary outfits, and snapshot vacations. 


Once up and running, eighteen 78 studios will feature a new Etsy shop (an offshoot of my Bored Alice shop, now housed under one name) full of beautiful, handmade items for stylish vixens of all kinds, with special emphasis on the romantic. Items are intended for soirees of all genres, particularly weddings, though all lovingly created items will be fit for any day in which you'd like to wear something beautiful for the sake of beauty. 

In my design work I utilize antique and vintage millinery items, as well as antique jewelry to create one of a kind, yet affordable adornments for the nostalgic, romantic, and unique bride, bridal party, and everyday lovely people.

The name eighteen 78 studios was chosen in honor of my lifelong adoration of all things Victorian and our new home, which was built in 1878 in the Italianate style. This house is a dream come true for me and what has inspired me more than anything else my whole life has been antique Victorian items, houses, and movies such as "Anne of Green Gables."

eighteen 78 studios is an ever-evolving celebration of light, joy, and above all things, love.
