My talented and amazing (and hot) husband. :) |
I have done some crazy, crazy things in my life. One day I’ll write them all down and you’ll all think I made them up, but it’s all true.
I have a degree in psychology, which I use mostly as a very expensive paperweight. I’d like to change that soon. I have a gift for helping people, problem solving, and creatively and passionately saving the world! I am ambitious and never stop and I never will stop, so don’t even expect failure from me. That is not what I’m about. I am never lazy, so I will always succeed. Truth.
For two years I was a medical case manager working with low income pregnant women and people living with HIV/AIDS. There’s so much more to it than just that. I worked for a broad variety of people with very diverse issues, talents, and needs. I never turned anyone down who needed help, no matter if it fit into my job description or not. I was working for the people, striving for painstaking excellence. Every day, all day long. It was the best job in the entire world and never felt like “work.” I was forced to leave it due to relocating to Texas, but I will never forget what I learned from the people I served.
I have also been a receptionist, switchboard operator, office assistant, and other jobs where you have to have a sweet phone voice and manners out of the 1950s, which I totally have.
I am a writer. I am a jewelry designer/maker. I am a photographer.
Yes, hello?! |
I am a writer. I am a jewelry designer/maker. I am a photographer.
I am working on my 2nd novel and am doing my 2nd “photo a day for a year” project. I successfully completed 50,000 words of a novel for National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo) in November 2011. I also started a business called Rummage Photography (www.rummagephotography.com) in 2011. I am always developing and evolving my photography skills. I’d like to take your photo.
I’ve been writing (books, poetry, prose, short stories, etc) since I was old enough to hold a pencil and have been writing on the mighty Internets since 1994 (when I was 14 years-old). I used to have quite a cult following...hey, where are you guys now?!
I have been making jewelry ever since summer camp when I was 13, and have been selling jewelry on Etsy since 2008. Legit, right? I know.
This is my favorite necklace I have made so far. It is genuine sapphire + oxidized silver chain. I named it "forest berries necklace." |
I’m a huge believer in supporting other artists and not being a hater. If you’d like to be featured on my blog, let me know. I’d be happy to help you out, my friend. Can I also get you a cup of coffee? Anything?
