When I was in elementary school my teacher told me I made my punctuation too big...she said I wrote periods as big as hamburgers. Yeah, I'm still doing that. |
Today I offer to you this scribbly little drawing I made on some scrap paper as I was drinking my morning coffee (self-made!) and looking at wedding blogs. I also wrote a poem about the experience, but this drawing is funnier and slightly less offensive and in my opinion, humor should always prevail. Even if it makes you uncomfortable.
When Daniel (my soon-to-be-step-son who is 17) looked at it, he said "I don't get it."
So...if you do get it...I guess that's the litmus test to find out if you're a trendy, trendy hipster or not. Just kidding. Feel free to laugh along with me. We're laughing, aren't we? Ahhh.......yeah....uh....good times.
I hope you have enjoyed this break from perfectly curated lifestyle blogs, strikingly minimalist photography blogs, and romantic DIY wedding blogs to just go, "yeah buddy."
Instead of Starbucks the cup should have been a local coffee company with a hand-stamped logo...or a Pabst Blue Ribbon bottle. Though, I think the hilarity remains.
Love,
Ashley
P.S. This was all written in Helvetica, so...there's that. Oh, and photographed with Instagram, of course.
P.S.S. You still love me, right? ;-)
P.S.S.S. The glasses on top were somewhat inspired by this older gentleman I spotted at IHOP yesterday morning. So adorable.
